By deciding to adhere to the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), created in 2005 and supported by the United Nations, the MIMCO Capital Group joins the leading international network of asset managers and investors committed to integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations into their investment and ownership decisions.

Alongside other major signatories that have agreed to put into practice six principles for responsible investment, MIMCO Capital will formally implement these principles in the management of the alternative investment funds it is administering. Aware that taking into account environmental, social and governance criteria leads to a better evaluation of investments in terms of usefulness and sustainability, the MIMCO Capital group is careful to integrate into its investment analyses a socially responsible approach that meets the challenges of the real estate sector.

Christophe Nadal, co-founder and CEO of MIMCO Capital explains: "By signing “PRI”, MIMCO Capital is demonstrating its commitment to evolve its sustainable investment practices, whether by investing responsibly or by supporting sustainability at the global level. As a committed corporate citizen, we have a responsibility to consider all ESG factors that could affect the performance of our investments."

Bernd von Manteuffel, also co-founder and CEO of MIMCO Capital continues: "We make it a point of honor to obtain the new BREEAM, HQE, LEED, Minergie certifications in force for office buildings and to comply with the latest energy standards in Luxembourg for new residences".

"From a social point of view, we pay particular attention to the well-being of our employees and their working conditions", Christophe Nadal emphasizes.

In its future real estate development operations, MIMCO Capital wishes to encourage environmentally friendly real estate projects where natural and renewable resources are used in the construction process in order to reduce the energy consumption of buildings.

PRI CEO Fiona Reynolds said: "We are very pleased to welcome MIMCO Capital as a PRI signatory. In joining PRI, MIMCO is recognizing the importance of incorporating ESG factors in its investment strategies and practice. We look forward to working with the team."
